Our culture – how we do things
We’re a family-owned and run independent garage, so we do things a little differently from the main dealer. Since we’re that bit smaller, we’re able to really get to know each member of staff; we nurture and support our team to enhance their skill set, help them grow in confidence, and ensure they feel valued and ultimately happy at work every day.
We put a big focus on building relationships with our staff by spending quality time with them – not just in the workshop but outside of it, taking part in company track days to help build a team, not just a workforce, and enjoying meals out and celebratory events to foster staff relationships.
Another important thing for us is our staff’s wellbeing. All employees have access to a well-being programme offering support from mental health professionals, nutritionists, and financial advisors. We’re also closed on the weekend, allowing our staff to get some much-needed rest and family time so they can come to work on Monday fresh and motivated for the week ahead.
Unlike larger garages, where the owners may no longer be heavily involved, our directors work alongside our staff, meaning they’re there for support or guidance throughout the working day (and sometimes even afterwards!). Their office door is always open, and phones are always on.
