We use OE (Original Equipment) parts as standard for all services.

What is a car service?

In a nutshell, a service is a health check of your vehicle. During a service, a mechanic checks your vehicle over, following a checklist which includes inspecting your tyres, brake lights, and topping up your fluids, for example. They also replace the necessary filters, such as your oil or air filters. Any problems identified will be explained to you and suggestions will be made to ensure your car is safe and roadworthy. 

What service do I need?

Your specific make and model of vehicle will require different filter changes and oil changes at different times to other vehicles. For example, one car might need a pollen filter change every year while another would only need one every two years. You might find that your dashboard tells you when certain services are due, however, most vehicles leave you in the dark! Don’t worry, we have access to the recommended service schedules for all makes and models and always advise our customers so they can make informed decisions. We also make sure to check for any important requirements that you may have missed, including cambelt replacements and fuel filter and spark plug changes.

How often should I service my car?

Every car has different recommended service intervals to follow. As a general rule, it is usually recommended that you get your car serviced every 12,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. However, if you use your car a lot, your vehicle may require a service twice a year. Again, we are here to help and advise on what’s best, so don’t hesitate to give us a call.

How much will my service cost?

It’s impossible to set a fixed price for this kind of servicing as it differs depending on the type of vehicle, and its age, mileage and service history. What if my car is under warranty?

Having your vehicle serviced in the way described above will ensure you keep your warranty. Depending on the requirements of your warranty, you may need to use genuine parts on your vehicle – just ask us to supply genuine parts when booking in for your service. We would still recommend that you continue to keep up with manufacturer-approved servicing even if your vehicle is not under warranty to maintain performance and saleability.
